ABOUT ME

My name is Jodie, and I am a marine mammal/wildlife photographer, based on the Mid-north Coast, NSW, Australia.
It should be fairly obvious from my photography that I have a specific interest in whales & dolphins.
My passion for Cetaceans (Whales & dolphins) and the ocean extends as far back as my childhood. One of my earliest memories on how it all started, was after I saw the movie 'Free Willy'. From then onwards, there was nothing I loved more than killer whales! I would spend a large amount of my free time creating many artworks containing orca, whales and dolphins and reading many cetacean books to learn much about the various species and their biodiversity. Today my passion for cetaceans still lives on through my photography.
I initially started to develop an interest in marine mammal photography due to my passion for whales & dolphins, but I also loved reading books about them and seeing photos of cetaceans published in the books. I then came to the realisation that I wanted to take my own photographs of these magnificent creatures. This inspired me into purchasing my very first DSLR camera in 2012 and then regularly venturing out on whale watching cruises in Port Macquarie, NSW to capture images of whales and dolphins of my very own.
Thank you for taking the time to check out my website and I hope you've enjoyed viewing my photography as much as I've enjoyed capturing the amazing moments that these majestic creatures have to offer in the wild.
